I’ve been in china for a month and a few days now and for the most part I have been welcomed and embraced by those I have been interacting with. I feel grateful for this. The people here, those I socialise with, work with, or meet in the market or the street, they have good and open hearts and I’m glad to be part of this.

I should write more often, but as it often is with these things, sometimes you are prolific and sometimes you’re not. Frankly, I’m amazed this blog still exists. It’s a fucking diary (–ish). I think secretly I want to be a writer. How the previous three sentences are held together: scrap paper.
Been under the weather and hence slower than usual. Mainly trying not to lose my voice. If I do, I’m fucked. Teachers need a voice. Oh fuck, I’m a teacher.
However, although my job is to teach I do not feel that I am defined by my job in the way that philosophy defined my being.
I’m learning a lot here in China and there are things to express and yarns to spin.
Healing is underway.
Slowly, slowly.
